NEXTTECH 2020 Pitchday: July Meeting Recap

The second virtual meeting of the NEXTTECH 2020 Pitch Day series unveiled challenges presented by Zel Technologies, Inc. and Georgia Green Energy Services. Both companies have allocated funding for training solutions using augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence or simulation technology, with a goal to enhance skill training opportunities and to make teaching and learning easier.

Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) with capable market-ready technology will have one-on-one meetings with these corporations to pitch and sell their services. This event is free to qualified MBEs and hosted by the Atlanta Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Advanced Manufacturing Center with funding from the Department of Commerce MBDA.
Applications for this challenge will be accepted until July 31, 2020.

Complete list of challenges below:

  • Provide simulated training, safety, and education to systemically reduce the number of harmful injuries, accidents, hazardous risks, and lack of resourceful training.
  • Uniquely impact training and education for new and experienced technicians to become experts within their industry.
  • Produce high-level technicians in correlation with their field experience.
  • Seeking technology to create an AI (Artificial Intelligence) algorithm that can learn crowd behavior from detected entities in Full Motion Video in simulated environments.
